State Senator Toni Boucher was elected to represent the 26th Senatorial District in 2008 after having served as the State Representative and Assistant Minority Leader from the 143rd CT Assembly District for 12 years.
The 26th Senatorial District includes the communities of Bethel, New Canaan, Redding, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport and Wilton. Senator Boucher has earned leadership roles in both the public and private sectors. She has worked as an executive with Fortune 50 companies and co- founded small businesses. She also served as Wilton Board of Education Chair, on the Board of Selectman and served as one of the nine Commissioners on the Connecticut State Board of Education
In the State Senate, Senator Boucher serves as a Chief Deputy Republican Majority Leader and serves as a Vice Chair of the Finance, Revenue& Bonding Committee and co- Chair of its Transportation Bonding subcommittee. She is also the Senate co-Chair of the General Assembly’s Transportation Committee, co- Chair of the Education Committee and member of the Legislative Management Committee.
Senator Boucher holds an MBA from UCONN with a concentration in international marketing and has held series 7, 31 and 63 licenses. She currently is a Director at a Connecticut- based institutional asset management firm.
